An IRMS is an electromagnet, so field intensity is adjustable, up to 2.0T (20,000 Gauss) where as as rare earth magnets typically reach a maxium of ~ 1.2 T (12,000 Gauss). A rare earth roll uses permanent magnets at a fixed intensity. IRMS therefore allow targetting weaker magnetic particles, but typically lower throughput than options such as Rare Earth Drums (RED).

mtIRM
Adjustable high-intensity separation to recover the weakest magnetic minerals.
Pull the last, faintest magnetic contamination out of a dry product that is already close to spec.
Why it matters
Recover the weakly magnetic minerals others leave behind, with precise separation tuned to your mineral.
Features
Adjustable from 0 to 20,000 gauss, IRMS handles dry feeds from 45 microns to 3 mm and separates magnetics, middlings and non-magnetics in one pass.
Problems it solves
Remove faint magnetic contamination and fine weakly magnetic minerals when fixed-field separation cannot achieve the required product quality.
Applications
Designed for finishing and upgrading duties across mineral sands, rare earths, high-purity quartz, tin, tantalum, scheelite and tungsten applications.
